Watch Tutorial on Construct your Sutori Research Project:

Use a Sutori story to portray and discuss (for example) the most influential (positive or negative) people, speeches, events, philosophers, or inventions of our U.S. History, 1607-1877. Once finished, you will need to copy it in PDF form, and submit it to the Turnitin link provided on Canvas, which will check for problems of plagiarism and grammar.

4. You will need 23-30 boxes to cover your topic adequately.

You will use text boxes, video and audio clips, along with images to convey your story. Do NOT overuse videoclips to tell your story.
You MUST site where you found your images, charts, graphs, videos, etc, EVEN if it paraphrased!
You will need a MINIMUM of (7) Sources in your Bibliography, (2) of which MUST be Books.
You should have two Video clips in your project, NO MORE than 10 minutes long; they MUST be .edu, .org, or .gov site,  WITH Closed captioning.
Restrict your online research to .edu, .org, or .gov site. NO WIKIPEDIA of use of Generic Encyclopedia (World Book, Encarta, etc.).
Once finished, copy your Research Project in a .pdf file (in the three dots) and then upload that into the Turnitin link on Canvas.

This assignment is worth 125 points. If you do NOT know how to write MLA-style, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to learn it. There will be a link on the Canvas page on MLA style and you can also seek help during my office hours or at the Student Learning Center.

 

Grading Rubric

The points for this project are broken down as follows in this Grading Rubric:

Content-60 Points: Historical content, analysis, critical thinking, comparison & contrast, addressing the essay question completely, use of terminology appropriate with the topic and proper length/depth. Two Video clips, no more than 10 minutes, with closed captioned.
Form-25 Points: Appropriate length, introduction, conclusion, smooth flow and transitions; no major spelling or grammar flaws.
MLA Format 40 Points: Use of correct & consistent in-text citations & sufficient bibliography in the proper MLA format. Citations are used in paper and the pages in your paper are numbered correctly. A minimum of SEVEN (7) sources in your final bibliography, TWO (2) of which MUST be books other than your textbook.
