What:

Moving through the college experience, you will regularly find yourself prompted to consider and respond to any of a number of texts and ideas in a meaningful way.  Such can be challenging, and it is undoubtedly a learned skill–so–let us begin!
Now is as good a time as any to begin considering the impact of audience awareness upon your writing.

A Bit of Advice:
Take the time to watch the film again, possibly even more than once.  Look and listen for ideas, images, information, etc. that you may have naturally missed the first time around.  Initial reactions are good, but look for deeper thoughts and meanings, too.
Don’t write about the film; I’m not asking you to analyze it.  Rather, use an idea from the film that you see repeating in the world around you and use it as a launching pad into your own ideas based on your own experience.
Write to communicate a bigger picture.  Remember: You’re not only writing about what you’re writing about; you’re also writing about what it means.
Develop a strong thesis, and eventually use it (during revision) to unify and develop your essay with your audience fully in mind.

MLA format (including Normal margins, Times New Roman, etc.).  Use the link to Purdue Owl in Modules as an example for proper formatting.
