Jim Jones is an accomplished acoustic guitar player. In 2019 he wrote a song entitled ‘Harlequin’, a piece for guitar and voice that incorporates elements of fifteenth-century court minstrel music. The song was recorded on his first album by his music publishing company, Arcadia. Jim Jones is the sole author of the musical composition and lyrics of the song Harlequin. In 2020 the Nasty Guys, a rap and hip-hop group, used six seconds of music from Jones’s ‘Harlequin’ in their song ‘Hard Harlequin Harry’ without obtaining a licence from Jones.
