[SOLVED] The Food Rescue Group
Mary, a high school administrator recently realized that after the last lunch is served at the end of the school week there is a lot of prepared food being thrown away and wasted. It dawns on her that many students depend on the Monday through Friday breakfast and lunches provided by the school but what are they eating on the weekends?
Mary decides with other school representatives to launch a pilot program named The Food Rescue Group focusing on children that do not have outside resources of food preparation provided throughout the school week while home on weekends. The group initiates a process of collecting, packing and freezing left over prepared meals then distributing them to students in need after the last Friday bell. At least 25 students take home 8 frozen meals for the weekend as a result of Mary’s mission to send no child home hungry.
