This is an INDIVIDUAL assignment. Worth 15%.
For this assignment, you will be creating parts of a Marketing Plan, based on your fictional event for your final project.
Each group member will choose only one (1) of the topics to write about for the assignment. IF you are working independently, please select a topic that interests you.
You will submit your assignments individually in the course shell.
Include the Introduction the event section
Include ONLY the topic you are writing about (Name the topic/question you are answering)
Introduce the Event – Each individual submission must include:
Event Summary: Write a short paragraph on the event you have chosen.
Marketing Goals and Objectives for your event.
Date: What is the date of your event and your location (venue and city)?
The section that you decided to write about.
(Make sure your partner/group members have different parts).

As a group, you must agree on what your Marketing Goals and Objective are for this event. This needs to be stated on each individual assignment.
Chose one of the following topics:
Social Media/Marketing Plan: How will you reach/influence the target market (what channels will you use and why)? Create a social media/Marketing plan similar to the example in the Marketo Definitive Guide to Event Marketing (page 60). A minimum of 4 channels must be discussed.
Create a Marketing Schedule: Choose appropriate timeline based on your event – must be a minimum of 6 months in advance. (Refer to Figure 8.13 on page 194 in the textbook.)
Promotional Examples: What is your event name? Create promotion examples (sample social media posts, banners, posters etc.) for your event. Include a tagline, sample messaging and a hashtag for your examples. A minimum of 4 examples is required.

Prepare your report in Word or Equivalent (2-3 pages) – no other formats will be graded.
Use a consistent font size (12 pt) and style (Helvetica, Arial, Calibri or similar) for all written content
Use of headings, subheadings, diagrams, tables, images, etc. is encouraged. It must look professional.
Bullets points are allowed if supported by introductory statements
You must support your ideas with research from the textbook, online sources, the library. Images and other research must be referenced using APA format.
