Then analyze your chosen film in terms of the categories listed below. In particular, your analysis should
explore your film’s plot structure, any noticeable aspects of the narration (how is the story told:
narrative technique), of the iconography (recurring visual elements that suggest a specific genre), or of
the film style (how is it shown: aesthetic technique). Once done, meet as a group and, following a
discussion, select two of the listed aspects of film style/technique. Note: as you see, you are not
required to consider any aspects of adaptation. Be sure to choose the two aspects that, as a group, you
consider to be the most relevant! Film style/technique:
1. Film narration
2. Mise-en-scene
3. Cinematography
4. Editing
5. Sound

film style or narrative technique you selected and how they come together to function in the context of
your chosen film’s form (remember, film form is the patterning of meaning in the film).
More specifically, as a group you are responsible for the following:
1. Getting in touch with your group mates, exchange contact info, start planning.
2. Choosing a date/time from the options listed (see below). First come, first served: to not get

or by email.
4. Conducting further research to enhance your understanding of your selected film and to support
