[SOLVED] Create a recording of a presentation that addresses a technology implementation plan.
Presentation
Create a recording of a presentation that addresses a technology implementation plan.
Increasingly, evidence-based practice is being built not only on scientific studies, but on clinical data, as well. Nurse
leaders are asking timely, relevant questions about their practice setting. Such questions include workflow, patient
outcomes, and financial results. The nurse leader relies on information or data that are precise, clear, and accessible.
Furthermore, the data must be verifiable and comprehensive. Imagine wondering what the cost for care is on a
particular nursing unit only to find some of the data missing or miscoded.
Much of the data used to answer organizational and practice questions come from sources used for other purposes.
For example, when a patient’s weight is recorded in the medical record, the primary use for the data is in direct
patient care. A secondary use might be to answer the clinical question “Do patients maintain their weight while on
hyperalimentation?” When using data for secondary purposes, the individual’s information is aggregated with a
population of similar patients. By using quality data, the nurse leader is participating in knowledge discovery.
“High-quality data requires a very clear understanding of the meaning, context, and intent of the data—
unambiguous and, ideally, standardized computable definitions of data that can form the basis for future safe
decision making” (Manos, 2012, para. 2). The DNP-prepared leader must be skilled at asking the right questions and
gathering the right data to effectively and accurately solve clinical and organizational problems.
This assessment asks you to give a presentation, based on the work you have completed in the first two
assessments. Part of the evaluation of this assessment is your ability to make and communicate data-driven decisions
related to creating an implementation plan and stakeholder buy-in.

Course Navigation
You should complete this assessment third.
Note: The assessments in this course must be completed in the order presented; subsequent assessments should be
built on both your earlier work and your instructor’s feedback on earlier assessments. If you choose to submit
assessments prematurely, without considering and integrating your instructor’s feedback, your assessment may be
returned ungraded, resulting in your loss of an assessment attempt.
Professional Context
In this assessment, you will have the opportunity to develop an audiovisual presentation of your Assessment 2
integration plan for the new or updated technology you proposed for the organization.
Instructions
Using Kaltura, or similar software, develop an asynchronous audiovisual presentation of your plan for implementing
the new or upgraded health information technology, based on the technology change proposal you developed for
Assessment 2.
The requirements outlined below correspond to the grading criteria in the scoring guide. Be sure that, at a
minimum, you address each criterion. You may also want to read the Technology Integration Presentation Scoring
Guide to better understand how each criterion will be assessed.

support.
What are the key factors having potential effects on outcomes?
What principles of effective change leadership would you apply to the development of your
implementation strategy?
Analyze elements critical to the effective use of the proposed technology.
Consider the resource requirements to implement the plan.
Consider the influence of end users and other stakeholders on successful implementation.
Include any evidence you have to support your analysis.
Make data-driven decisions.
Collect appropriate and accurate data to generate evidence for nursing practice improvement.
Include the outcome measures that will provide evidence of successful implementation.
Assess the value and utility of particular evaluation tools in measuring the impact of the new or
upgraded technology on outcomes.
Articulate steps for evaluating and resolving potential ethical and legal issues associated with technology
implementation.
Are there clear cause-and-effect relationships among organizational functions, processes, and ethical
and legal behaviors?
What are the ethical and legal implications of evaluating safety and quality outcomes associated with
the change?
How can nurse leaders guide and support interprofessional care teams as ethical and legal issues arise?
Present a technology implementation plan to executive leaders.
Consider the information needs of your audience and any potential concerns they might have about
the plan.
What questions or objections are they likely to raise?
How would you respond?
Express your key points clearly and coherently, and support your assertions and conclusions with
credible evidence.
Apply applicable APA formatting to citations and references.
Proofread your slides to minimize errors that could distract the audience and make it more difficult to
focus on the substance of your presentation. Also, you should enter your hours spent researching, interviewing, preparing, and presenting this proposal as
experiential practicum hours into CORE ELMS.
Presentation Format
Remember, you may use Microsoft PowerPoint or other suitable presentation software to create your slides. If
you decide to use an application other than PowerPoint, check with your instructor to avoid potential file
compatibility issues.
Most presentations will likely be 10 to 15 slides in length (plus title and reference list slides).
Supporting Evidence
Cite a minimum of eight credible sources from peer-reviewed journals or professional industry publications to
support your presentation.
