[SOLVED] Reflections on Humanity

[SOLVED] Reflections on Humanity

Essay Topic #3 – Reflections on Humanity
The writings of British authors showcase reflections on humanity in the 16th-18th centuries. From analyses and interpretations of their writings and from research, discuss what John Locke, Jonathan Swift, and Aphra Behn communicate about humanity. Be specific to the readings in the textbook, and provide text examples from those readings.

What is a researched literary analysis paper?
A researched literary analysis is a research paper in which students analyze assigned literary works and make connections between different authors’ works. They must also incorporate scholarly research to support their ideas. This research paper should analyze THREE authors’ works and explain their connection to one another and significance to American literature.
The researched literary analysis must follow classic essay structure: introduction with thesis, the body, the conclusion, and Works Cited page.  The body of the essay must support the thesis by using information and examples from the assigned readings and must include additional, documented information.
The essay must flow in this order: introduction, historical background, first author, second author, third author, and conclusion. The Works Cited should be the last page. (*See outline on left).
You must use a total of four sources for the research paper.
Your textbook will count as your primary source; you will quote authors’ words using the textbook. Your textbook may count as only one source, regardless of the number of literary works that you cite from it.
Additionally, you must include documented information from three secondary credible sources.
It is preferred that all of your sources come from CPCC’s library databases if possible.
Every author paragraph should include a cited secondary source.
Every source on your Works Cited page must be mentioned in the essay.
All quotations and paraphrases from your sources, including your textbook, must be in MLA format.  The documentation must include introductory phrases, in-text citations, and a Works Cited page.
You must write formally, and in third-person point of view only. That means you cannot use the words: “I, me, we, us, our, you, your,” etc. Also, you should avoid contractions, slang, and all informal language.
Your completed researched literary analysis essay will be checked for plagiarism through TurnItIn.  To be graded, it must be submitted as Word or PDF document. (Emailed assignments will not be accepted.)
