[SOLVED] LIVING ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH
RACE PROJECT – LIVING ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH
Students learned concepts that help one understand the racial inequality and discrimination presented within the environment and individuals’ health. This race project allows for students to gain an in-depth understanding about environmental racism (as referred in the course textbook) and health disparities that impact racial/ethnic minority groups. Students need to utilize their sociological imagination, to apply the content they learned in class, and to reflect on these areas and how these areas have an effect on racial minority and/or majority groups. Thus, students will continue to be actively engaged in applying their sociological knowledge, even after the course has ended.
PLEASE DOWNLOAD OR COPY THE DOCUMENT AND ANSWER RIGHT BELOW EACH QUESTION. Do not delete the questions, this allows the instructor to know which question the individual is answering.
*If students want to view an example of the completed project scroll all the way down to “Example of how project should look like” subheading.
Each answer should be 3 or more sentences. Each answer should have a thoughtful reflection. Do not write 3 basic sentences to meet the 3-sentence requirement. Write college-level sentences.
Here are two examples of responses:
Bad example: Rent is $100. I can afford it. It is in my budget.
Good example: The rent for the location that I have selected is $100. This is a lot cheaper compared to other rental locations in my area. The reason why the rent is cheap is because it only has one bedroom. (Do not use this example or make one similar to it. It would be considered plagiarism)
For each answer, you will be able to find the information in your textbook to help construct a detailed answer and relate it back to the sociological content. Do not use any biased personal opinions. For instance, I believe there should be more pineapples on pizza because pineapples are the best toppings.
All answers must relate back to race and ethnicity and sociology.
