In this assignment, you need to expand on the review that you conducted in Journal Review #1 by reviewing 5-8 papers in your research field of interest and based on that submit a short Research Proposal. The papers that you review must include at least two papers that have been published in reputable journals in your particular research field of interest. Similarly, the other papers that you include in your proposal must be published in leading journals and/or conferences. Please consult with instructors in your home department for guidance on such journals and conferences.

The Research Proposal must be 2 to 4 pages, including figures, with Calibri/Arial/or New Times Roman font size 10-12 and 1 to 1.5 line spacing. The research proposal must include the following:

Context and Background
Problem Statement and Potential Benefits
Research Challenges and Possible Approaches
Desirable Outcomes and Deliverables
References

Full citation of the references must be done using the IEEE format. The references papers used need not be submitted with the Research Proposal. However, web links to the papers must be included.
Please note that the major publishers in engineering include, but not limited to, the ACM, AIAA, ASME, Elsevier, IEEE, IET, Nature Publishing Group and Springer.
