[SOLVED] The discussion forum

Your task in the discussion forum is to (a) contribute one original post to your group in which you
pose a discussion question
Please include the following information in your original post:
1. The title of the article*
2. The author(s) of the article
3. The URL**
4. A summary of the key points of the article (maximum 300 words)***
5. How it relates to the topic of training and development****
6. A discussion question that your group members will respond to in relation to your article and
course content from textbook chapters 7-13 *****
* The article/topic must not have been posted by another group member (e.g., an article about the
same news story but published in a different outlet) or by me on the eClass website. It is your
responsibility to read your group members’ posts and the materials that I’ve posted.
** If the article is on a website that requires a subscription (e.g., Globe and Mail, Harvard Business
Review), download the article from the Library and also include a PDF of it in your post.
*** The summary should provide an overall sense of what the article is about. Namely, the summary
should be able to provide someone who has not read the article a good understanding of the key
points. The summary should be in your own words and you should avoid using direct quotes from
the article.
**** Original posts in this second discussion forum should be related to topics covered in Chapters
7-13 of the textbook. You must specify how it relates to 1-2 specific concepts. In other words, you
should relate the article to 1-2 specific concepts from topics covered in Chapters 7-13 and explain
how the article either confirms or adds to our knowledge of the concept. This section should also
be in your own words and you should avoid directly quoting the article or textbook. While there is no
word limit specified for this section, please make sure that this section is clear and concise.
***** The discussion question is meant to open a dialogue or conversation with your group
members. The topic of your original post should be related to topics covered in Chapters 7-13 of
your textbook and the question as well
