Fictitious scenario
Fictitious scenario
You are a Research Officer within a research team in a large donor organization. Your organization specializes in funding programs and organizations that work with people who have been forcibly displaced. The first Task you submitted to your Research Manager (the combined Presentation Slides and Notes) has contributed to a list of
possible organizations to partner with this year.
The organization is presently in the process of establishing its priorities for funding areas this year, after which it will select which organizations it will be partnering with. In order to assist the organization with the process of establishing its priorities for the year, the Research Manager has now asked you to find and analyze a recent news article concerning an issue in forced migration. (attached is the documents for the first task which is required to be reviewed and continued based on the that)
Task
Find a news article that has been published within the year leading up to the Task’s due date (i.e., since June 13, 2021). The news article must cover an issue in forced migration / forced displacement, although there is no further limitation as to which issue is chosen. It is acceptable for more the chosen news article to cover more than one
issue in forced migration / forced displacement. The news article may cover any given case, within or not within Canada. There is also no specific requirement as to the type of forced displacement the article is referring to (for example, the article could cover issues affecting internally displaced persons, asylum seekers, refugees or stateless persons).
Referencing
It is vital that the Task references the sources from which the information is derived.
