This scholarly article explains the traumatic experiences that women underwent during World War II. It highlights women's plight in the conflict zones regarding both sexual violence and the non-sexual trauma they had to endure. It posits a lot of lawlessness during the period, as governments concentrated on the war as opposed to control of the actions of various persons in society, especially soldiers.
